At invenio, we believe that sustainability starts with everyday choices. To celebrate Women’s Day, we organised a women’s clothing swap in our office, combining care for the planet with the idea of community and mutual support. This is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning and give a second life to clothes that could find new owners.

Fashion with less waste

Our initiative is in line with the idea of a circular economy and a conscious approach to consumption. Instead of throwing away clothes that are no longer worn, we give them a chance to start a new chapter in someone else’s wardrobe. In this way, we reduce textile waste and limit the negative impact of the garment industry on the environment.

New rules – new challenges

In 2025, separate collection of textiles became compulsory across the European Union, meaning you can no longer put your clothes in your normal rubbish bin. The aim of the legislation is to increase textile recycling and reduce excess waste. Our action is a step towards a new, more responsible approach to fashion.

Clothes for the needy

Not all the clothes found new owners among our colleagues, so we decided to donate the remaining items as part of InPost’s ‘Donate, don’t waste’ initiative. Thanks to free EcoReturns, the textiles go to people in need, keeping them useful and supporting the zero-waste approach.

All people, not just women, are encouraged to swap clothes – it’s not only a great way to refresh your wardrobe, but also a way to promote environmentally-friendly habits. Together we can do some good for the planet and for each other!
