The International Organization for Standardization (ISO), based in Geneva, is an international, independent organization of 165 different standardization bodies. This organization and its experts prepare and develop ISO standards based on their shared knowledge. In 1946, a meeting of 65 delegates from 25 different countries initiated talks on the future of global standardization, which resulted in the official establishment of ISO with 67 technical committees a year later.
In the invenio group, we currently apply two standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System). In April this year, we obtained a security certificate for the next two years (we informed about it in our June newsletter). In August, a team of two auditors was verifying the companies of the invenio group for three days in terms of meeting the requirements of ISO 9001. The audit was a complete success and the certification was extended for another three years. It was an exceptional control, because after many years of cooperation with TUV Hessen, we made a change and TUV Nord, based in Katowice, became the certification body of the invenio group. This year, the temporary employment agency Quality & Human Services and invenio Russia joined the group of certified companies. We wish to congratulate those involved in the audit and thank all employees for their daily work with the standards.
